HOMEPAGE / CONTINUOUS DESKTOP CAPTURE / 1440 × 900

A useful website study begins with the experience, not a target number of screenshots. I look across the product, then decide which moments explain how it works.

For this desktop study of the Uniswap Web App, I explored the homepage, Explore, Launches, Pool and Portfolio, selecting nine representative views. Together, they show how a product can stay coherent while giving different pages distinct roles.

Let people use the product before explaining it

HOMEPAGE / PRODUCT CARDS

The homepage opens with the swap interface. Soft, floating token images add movement behind it while leaving the form as the focal point. Protocol statistics and product cards follow below: interaction first, then evidence of scale and capability.

The statistics act as trust signals in the design. The figures in the recording are a snapshot from the study, not live market data.

Give each page a distinct purpose

Trending cards and market rankings on Uniswap Launches
LAUNCHES / MARKET DISCOVERY
Demo wallet charts in Uniswap Portfolio
PORTFOLIO / DEMO VIEW

Launches combines trending cards, a horizontal activity feed and a dense ranking table. Pool connects position creation, a wallet connection empty state and market tables. Portfolio offers a demo wallet view with charts and clear entry points for actions.

Explore remained in a loading state during this visit, so I left it out of the selected views. A useful reference should represent what was actually visible.

Study the movement, not just the screenshots

The first recording moved quickly and then paused for too long. I revised it with longer scrolls, ease-in-out transitions and shorter reading pauses. Recording the browser directly preserved the site's own animation.

In the reference library, each section uses a still cover and plays its clip on hover. That makes it possible to compare layouts quietly, then inspect motion when it matters.
